The Fish-Scout® comes with everything you need to start exploring the underwater world of your favorite lake or river. The system includes a color/B&W camera, 7" color LCD monitor, rigid carrying case with an enclosed 12V (9Ah) SLA battery, 1-amp digital charger and soft pack carrying case. And it's fully assembled, so it's ready to use right out of the box. Plus, it's backed with a 2-year factory warranty.
ADVANCED MONITOR FEATURES
View the underworld beneath you on the high-resolution 7" LCD monitor. Switch between 2 viewing options. Choose the 16:9 wide-screen display, or use the more traditional 4:3 perspective for close-up viewing. Either way, the Fish-Scout® gives you a sharp, clear view in most conditions. Super bright outside? No problem. The Fish Scout is equipped with an internal light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness to create your ideal viewing setting. It also automatically shifts from color if the light conditions are good, or shifts to black & white if the underwater light is low. Or use the digital keypad to manually adjustment the monitor brightness, contrast, color and camera perspective.
Worried about water ruining the display? No worries. The ultra-thin monitor housing is sealed with a rubber gasket. And all plug-in connections are potted to protect the internal electronics from the harsh elements. What to record and share your video images? Just use the video output jack to connect it to a big screen TV (requires Digital Video Recorder DVR-100; not included).
THE FISH SCOUT CAMERA
In order to create an ultra-clear, high-resolution picture, Vexilar® matched the Fish-Scout® monitor with a high-quality camera. The ultra-low lux CMOS camera offers a wide 90° viewing angle, giving you a wide coverage area for maximum visibility. 2 high-intensity infrared LEDs give you a better view in low-light conditions. And they're specifically positioned to flood your entire camera viewing angle with light. You can also change the intensity of the IR spectrum lights by simply pressing the plus or minus keys. The Fish Scout is designed for easy transport, so you'll have no problems jumping from hole to hole. Keep the camera at your desired depth and direction using the adjustable egg stopper, which keeps it perfectly positioned.
The Fish Scout also includes a down-viewing hook on the back of the camera that lets you point it straight down, giving you a "top-down" perspective. Cable management is made easy with the Fish-Scout. Simply wind the cable onto the included wrap and stash it inside the cable pouch that's attached to the soft pack carrying case.
